Sempervivum 100mm

Sempervivum, commonly known as Hens and Chicks or Houseleek, is a charming and hardy succulent prized for its beautifully symmetrical rosettes of fleshy, pointed leaves. Its compact geometric form creates wonderful texture and interest, with foliage colours ranging from fresh green through to red, bronze and burgundy tones depending on the variety and growing conditions.

Perfect for rockeries, succulent gardens, decorative pots, bowls, retaining walls and other well-drained garden spaces, Sempervivum gradually produces small offsets or “chicks” around the parent rosette, creating an attractive spreading cluster over time.

Sempervivum thrives in a sunny position and requires excellent drainage. It is drought tolerant once established and prefers the soil to dry between watering, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens and containers.

Tip: Give Sempervivum plenty of sunlight to encourage strong, compact rosettes and the best foliage colour. Avoid overwatering, particularly during cooler weather, and always use a free-draining succulent mix when growing in pots.
