Grevillea Fishbone 140mm
Grevillea Fishbone is a distinctive Australian native shrub prized for its unusual deeply divided foliage and colourful, nectar-rich flowers. Its attractive leaves have a striking fishbone-like appearance, creating wonderful texture and interest in the garden even when the plant is not in flower.
The vibrant spider-style blooms provide an eye-catching display and are highly attractive to nectar-feeding birds and beneficial pollinators. Hardy and relatively low maintenance once established, Grevillea Fishbone is an excellent choice for native gardens, mixed garden beds, screening, habitat gardens and areas where a tough, attractive shrub is needed.
Plant in a sunny to partly shaded position in well-drained soil. Once established, it has good tolerance to dry conditions and benefits from occasional pruning to encourage dense, bushy growth.
Tip: Grevilleas are sensitive to high levels of phosphorus. If feeding, always choose a fertiliser specifically formulated for Australian native plants, and lightly prune after flowering to encourage a fuller, more compact plant.
