Xanthostemon Golden Penda is a spectacular golden flowering rainforest tree and grows to 10 to 15 metres tall in the wild, but less in cultivation.
Great for frost free large gardens and parks, it can be grown in cooler temperate areas but flowering may be erratic and the plant will be less vigorous.
The trusses of flowers are borne in summer and autumn, and are good for nectar feeding wildlife. The foliage is attractive when the tree is not flowering, with the leaves being large and glossy.
Best in sunny spot in well drained and moist soils. It can be pruned to shrub size if desired.
