Olive Kalamata is an evergreen tree with striking silver grey-green foliage and masses of creamy white flowers that appear throughout spring and are followed by medium-sized green fruit that changes to red, then black when ripe.
It produces a high yielding crop and is ideal for picking and processing, or as an ornamental plant. It can be trained to grow as an espalier or standard.
Tip: For the best fruit production, plant your Kalamata in full sun with excellent drainage, and give it a light prune after fruiting to keep the tree open and airy. This improves airflow, reduces disease risk, and encourages better crops next season.
