Neoregelia is a striking bromeliad prized for its bold tropical foliage and spectacular colour. Growing in an attractive rosette shape, its broad, glossy leaves can develop brilliant shades of green, red, pink and burgundy, creating a dramatic feature even when the plant is not flowering.

Perfect for sheltered gardens, tropical displays, patios, decorative pots and bright indoor spaces, Neoregelia adds wonderful texture and architectural interest. Unlike many flowering plants, much of its beauty comes from the colourful foliage, with the centre of the rosette often becoming particularly vibrant as the plant matures.

Neoregelia prefers bright, filtered light or partial shade with good air circulation. Keep some fresh water in the central cup of the plant and use a free-draining growing mix to prevent the roots from remaining overly wet.

Tip: Flush out and replace the water in the central rosette regularly to keep it fresh. After a mature plant has finished its growth cycle, look around the base for small pups. These can eventually be separated and grown into new Neoregelia plants once they have reached a good size.
