The Carolina Reaper is the world’s hottest chilli — a fiery showstopper that’s not for the faint-hearted! This legendary variety produces small, gnarled red pods with distinctive tails and an intense heat that can reach over 2 million Scoville units. Beyond the burn, it also offers a surprisingly fruity, sweet undertone that adds incredible depth to sauces, salsas, and marinades when used sparingly.

A vigorous and hardy plant, the Carolina Reaper grows well in full sun and warm conditions, producing an impressive yield of chillis throughout the season. It can be grown in the garden or in large pots.

Growing tips:

• Plant in well-drained soil and a sunny, sheltered position.
• Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging.
