Tulbaghia violacea, commonly known as Society Garlic, is a versatile perennial herb that is native to southern Africa. This plant is highly regarded for its attractive foliage and clusters of delicate flowers. The leaves are long and narrow, resembling those of a grass, and emit a mild garlic fragrance when bruised or crushed. In summer, tall stalks rise above the foliage, bearing clusters of star-shaped flowers in shades of lavender or pink. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil.
