Lisbons are the most common commercially grown lemon in Australia thanks to their long-lasting, but thin skin. They have amazing shelf life, which is convenient especially considering that they tend to produce one major crop per year without too much staggering between when the fruit ripens.
They have a high juice content with good acidity, so they’re great for cooking.
They’re a very vigorous tree when planted in ideal conditions, and can grow anywhere from 6 – 7m tall. They’re also one of the quicker growing citrus trees, however they can be quite thorny.
