Cara Cara navel oranges are a super sweet navel orange with a unique little colour characteristic in that its flesh usually takes on a distinct pinkish colour. The depth of this colouration depends on the climate, of course, with cooler weather lending to a more obvious pinky appearance. The tree is a compact grower that has a nice bushy habit, especially when pruned. When planted in the ground in ideal conditions, the dwarf Cara Cara tree will only grow around 1.5 – 2m tall in its lifetime, making it a good option for limited space areas. It’s also perfectly suited to being grown in a pot, as well.
